The VF Series is a replacement for the Singer/McQuay series VF/VP/VG units. It provides contractors with a simple drop-in replacement unit with the added feature of modern microprocessor control capabilities.

Specifications

Each unit comes with R410A refrigerant and is fully factory tested before shipment. Omega is pleased to offer a 1-year parts warranty and an optional 5-year compressor warranty on all units, from the time of shipment.
Controls and relays are mounted on a single printed circuit board with factory wiring to connect plugs. The direct digital control board is designed to provide control of the entire unit as well as outputs for unit status and fault detection.
Factory installed logic makes sure the unit operates safely and will take the unit offline in case of malfunction or dangerous operation. Intelligent microprocessor-based control continuously monitors operation of the VF unit and attempts to keep the unit online during difficult start-ups (i.e.. lower temperature start-ups)

When my furnace broke down last winter, we were without heat for two weeks while the HVAC company sourced the parts from the US. I wanted to install a gas fireplace insert to replace my existing gas log set and to act as a backup heat source (e.g. furnace breaks down again, no power). I had a number of questions about the various gas fireplace inserts (e.g. size and fit in my old fireplace) and I contacted several HVAC companies.

I found that Brian from Cozy Comfort Plus to be the most helpful and he also gave me the best price. I was home at the time and I saw that the Cozy team did a great job installing the gas fireplace insert (e.g., assembling and fitting the insert, bending and capping the chimney, etc.).
