1. Check operation of safety limit controls
2. Check water pressure and temperature relief valve
3. Check expansion tank (if applicable)
4. Check operation of thermostat
5. Check pressure switches and vent blower (if applicable)
6. Inspect burners and clean if required
7. Examine vent connector and inspect venting system
8. Check vent damper operation (if applicable)
9. Check and adjust pilot light (if applicable)
10. Check flame rectification
11. Measure stack (flue) temperature
12. Check gas piping
13. Check and adjust manifold gas pressure
14. Clock appliance to verify correct input
15. Combustion / ventilation air adequate
16. Inspect heat exchanger
17. Clean equipment interior / exterior
