Enbridge Now Offers Enhanced Rebates Through a New Partnership With Canada’s Greener Homes Grant
As of January 2023, the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Program 2023 Became the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program
In January 2023, Enbridge Gas and Canada’s Greener Homes Grant joined forces to administer the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program. Aimed at promoting sustainable living, this program incentivizes eligible retrofits for home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems.
Building on the success of the original initiative, Enbridge has now launched the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program. By offering enhanced rebates, this program empowers residents to save energy, reduce their carbon footprint, and enjoy a more comfortable living environment. This enhanced program will allow a greater number of Ontarians to enjoy the benefits it offers.
Update: Enbridge’s offer will only run until the end of February 2024.
The program is so popular that there is a shortage of heat pumps!
Home Energy Advisors are overrun with appointments, so be sure to apply for this offer right away so you don’t miss out.
Helping Ontarians Save Energy and Money
Enhanced Rebates for Enbridge Gas Customers:
The Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program brings valuable rebate enhancements for Enbridge customers and some non-customers. By participating in this program, residents can now access enhanced rebates of up to $10,000. This substantial increase in the available rebates provides a greater number of homeowners with the opportunity to undertake more comprehensive and impactful energy-saving retrofits, ensuring long-term savings on energy bills and reducing their environmental impact.
Offset the Cost of an EnerGuide Home Evaluation
It’s no secret that, for homeowners, undertaking energy audits can represent a significant expense. To address this, the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program offers an additional rebate of up to $600 to help participants offset the cost of their EnerGuide home evaluation. This means that homeowners can access professional energy audits with a reduced financial burden, allowing them to make informed decisions about their home upgrades.
Energy Audits for Improved Efficiency
As a required part of the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program, energy audits serve as a valuable tool for homeowners. An energy audit provides a comprehensive assessment of your home’s energy usage, enabling you to identify areas of improvement and prioritize upgrades. By participating in the program and undergoing an energy audit, homeowners gain insights into the most effective retrofit options that can maximize energy efficiency, enhance home comfort, and yield long-term savings.
Eligible Retrofits
The Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program focuses on key retrofit areas that hold significant potential for energy savings. Some eligible retrofit options include:
- Home Insulation: Upgrade your insulation to keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, reducing the amount of energy needed for heating and cooling.
- Windows and Doors: Replace old, inefficient windows and doors with energy-efficient ones to reduce energy loss due to drafts.
- Heat Pumps: Install a high-efficiency heat pump for more efficient heating and cooling, reducing energy consumption and saving money.
- Renewable Energy Systems: Explore the benefits of renewable energy by installing solar panels or geothermal systems, which reduce your reliance on traditional energy sources and lower your carbon footprint.
Contributing to a Greener Future
Transitioning to a more energy-efficient and sustainable lifestyle is an important step towards a greener future. By participating in the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program, you not only contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions but also play an active role in building a sustainable Ontario. The program’s eligible retrofits help to conserve natural resources, decrease reliance on fossil fuels, and promote a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.

Applying for the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program is quick and easy.
