How Do ACs Work?

Everyone who has experienced the scorching hot and humid Toronto summers knows how great of an invention air conditioners are. Judging by the nice cool breeze that comes out of most Air Conditioners, you might be tempted to think that an AC takes the hot air in your house and cools it but what is actually doing is taking the hot air from your house and by using some clever science and mechanics it deposits it outside and what remains after taking the hot air out is the cool air that comes out.

Whatever the process, I sure am glad that a guy by the name Carrier came up with it over 100 years ago and thus starting a whole revolution in home comfort.

I just wanted to publically thank Maury my regular technician from Cozy Comfort Plus for all the great work he has done over the years. this includes regular heating and air conditioning maintenance and fixing things like a leak from the humidifier water line to a problem with the furnace. He arrives when he promises and does a meticulous job without upselling what isn't needed.
